“Content being a homebody”

My journey into interior design begins like many others’, with the renovation of our own home. Walking into a house with great bones but in need of new life, room by room, we intentionally created spaces full of character to serve as the backdrop for both our work and our lives.
But, my love for interiors didn’t begin there. Prior to life in PA, my husband and I spent 6 years in New York City — and nothing, nothing, will force you to design creatively quite like the limitations of a 600 sq ft. pre-war apartment in the middle of a concrete jungle (I’m forever grateful to have a husband in engineering who was always down to bring my visions to life).
My background prior to design was in marketing (with degrees in Advertising, Psychology and Business from Penn State… WE ARE!!). Following a productive career as a marketing exec turned agency owner, I took the leap to make my side hustle in interior design my main hustle gig (thanks, largely in part, to the persistence of my family & friends).
As with any form of creative expression, I believe interior design is a kind of art, and is most authentic when driven by a designer’s intuition. However, I am actively pursuing a design certificate through UCLA’s Architectural Interior Design program in conjunction with client projects.

Anyone who knows me, knows that the way to my heart is through an antique store. And I very much channel this appreciation of collected pieces in telling the stories of my clients’ spaces. To me, combining practicality and function with beauty and character is the epitome of good design.
I welcome design projects of all shapes, sizes and styles — and would describe my own personal style as “modern vintage,” with a palette grounded in neutrals, complemented by earthy, moody tones and unique pieces rich in character.

When we first began our renovation journey, I quickly became very overwhelmed. I poured over design books, scoured Pinterest and watched every HGTV show there was. I got there in the end, but found myself completely exhausted from the hundreds of decisions that had to be made. At the time, the idea of working with an interior designer felt so foreign to me.
I’m here to make that process more enjoyable for my clients by simplifying those decisions and eliminating so much of the guesswork. For busy clients who know what they want, but just need a little help bringing it to life, or maybe you don’t quite know what you want, and that’s ok too — we’ll figure it out together!
My goal is to make interior design more accessible, meeting you wherever you are in your design journey, as well as through our unique blend of in-person and virtual services; because it is my firm believe that everyone, everyone, should get to love where they live.
